Microsoft Teams: PowerPoint Live support for webinars and structured meetings on Teams Rooms on Android

🚨 The Signal: Teams Rooms on Android now support PowerPoint Live for webinars, allowing participants to view and interact. This enhances meeting accessibility but introduces potential new vectors for content-based threats if not properly managed.

The Impact

• Teams Room users: Potential exposure to malicious content in presentations.
• Security teams: Need to ensure content governance policies extend to Teams Rooms.
• Admins: Review existing Teams content policies for applicability to this new feature.

The Action

1. Review existing Microsoft Teams content sharing policies for PowerPoint Live.
2. Ensure Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is configured to scan all shared content.
